On May 1st, Àkójọpọ̀ hosted a pop-up concert, live, in Chicago! Àkójọpọ̀'s vision is to create accessible means for Nigerian musicians to pursue their artistic visions.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the US that operates internationally. We are planning on hosting a charity concert to bring awareness to our work and raise money for our concert in Lagos, Nigeria.
We will be hosting an outreach concert this summer premiering unpublished/newly written works by Nigerian composers. Though attendance is free, donations are greatly appreciated!
