The Color of Art: Documentary Feat. Rob McKay Of Connect Gallery

The Color of Art, is a documentary that follows three artists as they navigate the "ecosystem" of the Black art community in Chicago. As their art is passed to gallery and finally to the collector we examine the history and current state of this unheralded culture.

City Vanguard helps independent filmmakers create community-based documentaries for educational and cultural institutions by lending production support and collective resources. Through documentaries as well as video diaries, documentary series and interactive events, City Vanguard brings a deeper understanding of social groups, told with an inclusive tone.
